Ashley's love of fitness began as a small child.  She and her mother, Linda, exercised to Richard Simmon's Sweatin' To The Oldies video tape in the basement of their home.  Ashley was inspired by Richard's kind, gentle and judgement free demeanor with his clients and soon Ashley's love of fitness grew into a passion to help others through exercise.

In 2006, Ashley graduated from The National Personal Training Institute in Phoenix, Arizona.  While attending school, Ashley held two paid internships at John Allen’s Personal Training and Lifestyles Fitness Personal Training. Upon graduation, Ashley accepted a full time Personal Training position from Lifestyles Fitness Personal Training in Tempe, Arizona.  Ashley not only worked with a diverse  group of her own clients, but also hosted weekly boot camps classes for anyone interested.  After several years with Lifestyles Fitness, Ashley accepted a position in Honolulu, Hawaii where she worked at The Kahala Hotel & Resort as a fitness instructor and also at Gold’s Gym as a Personal Trainer. Although Island life was enjoyable, a yearning for family pulled her back to Wisconsin.  In 2010, Ashley began working at the Fish Creek YMCA teaching Silver Sneakers, Live Strong and also offering her professional services as a Personal Trainer. That same year, Ashley ran her first marathon, began teaching Stand Up Paddle Board Fitness Classes, hosted a seasonal hiking group along with a weekly walking group. In the Fall of 2013, Ashley decided to take her love of fitness and people to the next level by creating her own Door County business, Homebody Personal Training.

Currently, Ashley resides in Ellison Bay with her husband, Tyler, and their three dogs Skipper, Sunny and Quinn.  When Ashley is not training, you will find her hiking with her dogs, paddleboarding, running, skiing, biking, camping and spending time with her delightful friends and family.
